Moray Monolithic Project Are Digging It
You have probably taken a walk along Morays beaches and came across strange monolithic statues that litter the shoreline. But have you ever thought about their meaning and who put them there? Well recent discoveries by the Moray Monolithic Project have thrown new light on these strange rock formations.
They are not just on the surface but excavations reveal they are several feet under the ground and have carvings of arms and hands.
” Some are marked with intricate spray painting from modern times such as Baz Sux C#x and feelings about the pope and police, but we have found ancient peoples also left their markings on these time worn rocks,” said project leader Hazle Nutt.
“As we excavate more we hope to finally find out who put these stones here and why.”
