Loungathon Paddling Scandal Rocks This Years Event
The intershire governing body Lounge Racing has stripped several Pro Loungers of medals for infractions of the rules of the sport. According to the rules ‘No lounger is allowed to move their chair in anyway except to get more laid back comfortable. 3 Loungers at this years Loungathon from Spey Bay to Buckie were seen and videoed paddling their feet and possibly gaining a speed or direction advantage. The magical prize of a years supply of YumYums may have been a factor in the win at any cost attitudes of previously not really bothered either way so called athletes of the sofa.
“A Pro Lounger would never move unless they were in training at home and a hooverer needed under their feet, or a beer can was spilling precious liquid. So to discover a few had used muscles in their feet to gain an advantage over other Loungers sickens me and brings the whole sport into disrepute,” said an organiser. Seeing as no one had actually bothered to pick up their medals they will just be kept in a drawer at Intershire Loungers HQ in Rothes.
YumYum provider The Little Big YumYum Factory Cottage Ltd are still planning on supplying the main prize and being main sponsor for next years event. “YumYum sales soared in Moray this last year to 10 million units, all down to the success of the Loungathon. Everyone wants to be like winner Lazy Larry McBeerBelly , his down to earth shrug of the shoulders and cant be arsedness towards life in general sends out the right type of message for us , it also pulls in the punters who see themselves maybe being a Loungathon winner,” gushed a spokesperson.
