Hailstane A Miracle Or A Freak Of Nature ?
Large Hailstone Hailed as Miracle in Portknockie
Yesterdays Thunderstorm brought an unexpected visitor to Moira’s garden in Portknockie. A fist sized hailstane!!!!
Mrs Moira Johnstone explained, “It landed right on the spot or near aboots, far we had nae long buried wee Kyles deid hamster ( Coisty ) a couple oors before. I spotted it fa fae the livin room windae as i did the ironing watching murder she wrote . Imagine my surprise when i went oot to see and saw next doors cat running off fae where it had been digging up wee Coisty . That bloody cat had almost got his wee box uncovered. I quickly dug it a wee bit deeper and held an impromptu reburial. If it wisna for this hailstane that cat would’ve been off with Coisty . I reckon its a miracle!!” Mo as she’s known locally, picked up the hailstane and put it in her freezer to show the kids later and called her local minister.
Local minister Pedro Caixinhandandinbelly has now placed the hailstane in the local newsagents drinks chiller for pilgrims to view. Already 15 folk have seen it and there is considerable interest on the web at www.ohboyitsadamnedmiracle
Was this hailstane a miracle or a freak of nature, who knows? But at least ‘ Coisty ‘ is Resting in Peace.
